Stair Rail Length and Angle Calculators

You can use the Stair Railing Length and Angle Calculators on this page to determine very easily how long a stair rail needs to be and at what angle we would need to build it for you!.

Aluminum Railing Stair Risers and TreadsAll you need to know is the height of a stair Riser, the depth of a stair Tread and how many Treads you have.

Just plug the numbers in, click Calculate and you're done!

If your Risers and Treads vary in size, use the average for each to calculate the Stair Rail Lengths and Stair Rail Angles below.

The Stair Rail Length is always computed for one side of the stairs.  It would be double for both sides, of course.

These Calculators are also provided right on the Railing Quote Form page for your convenience.

We also offer two manual alternatives to determining your stair rail lengths and stair rail angles.  You can use these instead of the calculators below or to verify manually the results obtained below, if there are any doubts.
