We offer two pool fence styles, available in Residential grade only, that are specifically designed to meet B.O.C.A. codes at 48" tall. Our other aluminum fences can also be used for pool fencing, see below for more information.

The UAB-200 (3 Rail) pool fence.
This is our most economical style pool fence and also our most popular. Since the top two rails are only 2" apart it meets the pool fence safety code that requires at least a 45" separation between the middle and bottom rails
(Available in 48" only, if you need a taller three rail fence, please see the UAF-200 or consult the chart on the Pool Fence Heights Explained page for alternatives.)

The UAB-400 (2 Rail) pool fencing.
This is a slightly "fancier" style because it features the designer Ultra Pickets.
We can also provide the UAF-200 in a 48", 2-Rail pool fence, if you would prefer the standard square pickets. It is available in Commercial (3/4" pickets) or Industrial (1" pickets) only.

You can read here About Pool Safety Fence as it is implemented under BOCA standards. See the 45" requirement explained page to understand why some styles do not meet code at 48" tall.
Using other Fence Styles for a Pool...
If you would like one of our other fence styles for use as a pool fence, we can do that for you.
B.O.C.A. code requires, among other things, that the minimum space between the bottom rail and the middle rail on the pool fence be at least 45". See the 45" requirement explained page.

We can meet this standard by using a taller fence and moving the bottom rail down on the fence panel to permit you to use any style we offer. For example, all of our UAF (F = flat top) fence styles can be made to meet pool fence code at 54".
Any of our UAS (S = spear top) fence styles can be made B.O.C.A. compliant at 60".
